ROWAN - More colours, better prices

This season we’ve expanded our range of Rowan Yarns.  With recent price reductions in both yarns and magazines, these high quality fibers in a vast rainbow of colours are now an affordable luxury.

Look for Rowan Pure New Wool, In both 4 ply and DK weights, the colour choice is phenomenal, and a bonus, this yarn is machine washable!

Continuing on the path of luxurious fibers, we’ve expanded our colour range of the timeless Rowan classic KidSilk Haze.  This yarn has previously been a great favourite in pastel tones, but wow! Wait until you see and touch the deeper, rich autumnal hues.  These new shades have arrived at a reduced cost of $15.95

The highlight of the season for some of us, is here now!  Rowan Colourscapes from Design/Artist Kaffe Fassett.  This is fabulous… gorgeous… dreamy… soft… think… warm… Yes, we are in love with it!  In six colours and an accompanying pattern book with designs by Sarah Hatton, this yarn is truly special.  With a chunky gauge and flowing colours, it knits quickly and beautifully.

In an effort to bring in more “felt friendly” yarns to the shop, we’ve picked up ten dynamic shades from the seemingly hundreds available from Cascade. Let us know what you think of this quality yarn and its colours.

By now we hope you have picked up the fall issue of Vogue Knitting (if not, come in soon!) Last year we bought a wide range of neutral tones in a lovely soft aran weight alpaca/wool blend yarn called Cambio.  The yarn wasn’t as big a seller as we’d expected, but then this summer we spot on Page 113 of the Fall issue of Vogue Knitting, a scarf and half (it’s sooo long, sooo wide and sooo warm) made in our hidden gem, Cambio.  The basketweave, buttonhole pattern is fun to knit and a fabulous fashion item for fall.  Come see the in-store sample and make yours now!
